Responsibilities
As the Director of Product, you will work closely with our CEO and Department Managers to identify Market Opportunities and align our strategies over the course of our development roadmap to gain visibility in the market and grow the games audience.
- Product strategy: help teams and individuals think through product problems of all shapes and sizes, build conviction in their decisions, and form a balanced product roadmap
- Decision making: facilitate a transparent, inclusive decision making process that helps team move quickly with autonomy, seeking support from leadership when appropriate
- Execution: design and scale product processes across a variety of teams and products. Set goals and KPIs to measure success together with our teams. Maintain the bar for excellence in executing our goals.
- Product craft: coach product teams to deliver quality features and hone their craft.
- Get your hands dirty: operate at contextual extremes, from long range vision setting to in-the-weeds product work. We are a small product team that expects every member to ‘carry water’ and wear multiple hats.
- Product culture: distribute product knowledge and ability to every team in the company. Building great products is everyone’s job.
- Player needs: synthesize usability research and market analysis into product requirements to super-serve existing players and attract new ones
- Organizational scaling and hiring: eventually build a team of exceptional product managers, and ensure product teams and their interfaces to partner teams are structured for efficacy.
- Extreme ownership: delivering great products requires vast swaths of “non-product” product work, and the person in this role should expect to assume responsibility for many of them. This may include partnerships, operations, go-to-market strategy, etc.
